CERES: Cambridge English Renaissance Electronic Service
Started in October 1966, it is "aimed at those working in the area of English Renaissance literature and its environs, it offers its members a Starter Guide to help them get more from the Internet and a regular email newsletter.
An enormous, very comprehensive site compiled by the Internet Public Library, there are links to criticism, a Webspeare-study guides and discussion groups on the Bard; annotated guide to scholarly Shakespeare resources on the web and even full text versions of Shakespeare's works.

Romantics

Well designed. Extensive collection of information on Victorian history and culture. Essays on economics, religion, philosophy, literature, art, science, etc. Collection is searchable with links to other sites.
American Studies at the University of Virginia
Large collection of American resources to annotated links, hypertext editions of American works, historical maps and an extensive site on America in the 1930's.
This is "a digital library of primary sources in American social history from the antebellum period through reconstruction. The collection is particularly strong in the subject areas of education, psychology, American history, sociology, religion and science and technology. This searchable database contains thousands of books and articles.
Maintained by Georgetown University, this is a superb collection of resources on American literature.
