Utilizing both word and image, the layered imagery and the varied mark make a universal language. Artist is represented by June Kelly Gallery in NYC.

    The Artist and the Bible
    20th Century Works on Paper
    Giving witness to a living faith in the 20th century, this exhibit includes work by such artists as Georges Rouault, Marc Chagall, Oskar Kokoschka, Lovis Corinth, Fernand Leger, Kaethe Kollwitz, Ben-Zion, Chaim Gross, Sadao Watanabe, and Maurice Denis, among others. The exhibit divides roughly in half between the Biblical narrative and works that deal with scriptural symbols, ideas and influences.

    Among the artists represented in the exhibit, from works on loan from The Maslow Collection, are Jasper Johns, Andy Warhol, Robert Rauschenberg, Jim Dine, Melissa Meyer, Sol LeWitt, Sherrie Levine, Robert Ruscha, Joan Nelson, and Frank Stella. The exhibition is dedicated to the memory of Deane Berger, the first curator of The Maslow Collection.

Sponsored by the New ARTS Program, a non-profit art service organization that presents to the public educational opportunities with individual artists from the literary, visual and performing arts, the NAP Video Festival exhibits video and film artists in an art venue, promoting videos as an integral part of art exhibitions.

    DVD Installation Works
    Megan Roberts and Raymond Ghirardo
    Premiere of new site-specific installation work incorporates animation and imagery by artists who have been collaborators in video, sound sculpture, installation, and performance for the past 27 years. A continuation of work developed during a recent residency at the Center for Contemporary Art in Prague, this exhibit thematically deals with archaeology, projected histories, human volition, imaginary landscape, and issues of landscape representation.

    Hunger for the Arts Auction III is a collaboration between Meals on Wheels of NEPA and Marywood University Art Department and Galleries. Proceeds from the auction will benefit Meals on Wheels and sponsor a series of lectures by visiting artists open to the community. culminating with an Auction on March 28th at 2 PM.

    SKETCHES FROM DENNIS CORRIGAN'S NOTEBOOKS
    Selected excerpts of humorous ideas and observations from the artist's notebooks spanning a period of 35 years. An illustrator with an over-active mind, Corrigan is a member of the Marywood art faculty, where he teaches classes in illustration and 2-D color and design.
