    MARKING THE MILLENNIUM EXHIBIT
    Curated by Steven Alexander

This exhibit is an important and timely examination of the work of a group of internationally recognized contemporary artists who are at once redefining the parameters of our visual language, and through that language, are dealing directly with aspects of the natural world as the subject, catalyst or content of their work including Pat Steir, Maya Lin, Don Van Vliet, Eugéne Leroy, Judy Pfaff, Terry Winters and others. At this auspicious historical moment, the beginning of a new millennium, our culture is flooded with unrelated images which float through our consciousness in a endless stream of associations. This exhibit is part of a joint thematic project between a number of art galleries and museums in the area who are each exploring a different point of view on image, text, and technology in the 21st century.
