About the Web Team
The Web Team comprises all of the pieces that make the webpage possible, from policy, to design, to implementation. The purpose of this site is to explain all of the services that our Web Team provides for you.
We have an array of skills, such as programming, graphic design, photography, and videography that can help make your website functional and unique. Check out the website showcase to see what we've been working on.
In addition, the office provides support to all areas of the university for the creation and maintenance of their websites. We work closely with Web Content Editors as well as the Web Content Director in Marketing.
We can help you create and maintain your department website. Your website is the first place prospective students go for information about your program or services, so it's important the information you present online is relevant and up-to-date. The Web Team can provide a variety of services to help you promote your department or program online:
- Copyrighting & Proofing
- Web Design, Graphic/Logo Design, & Custom Programming
- Photography & Photo Retouching
- Video Production
- Navigation and Organization of Content
- CMS Training & Support
If you're considering using Facebook, Twitter, or other social media platforms to communicate with students, we can help. Don't know the difference between a Facebook page and a group? We can explain. Never tweeted before? We'll show you how.
Meet With Us
While the team answers questions and addresses concerns through email and phone calls, we can also meet with you if you would like a redesign of your site or need guidance from site concept to creation to completion. Before meeting with us about site redesign/creation, try to answer the following:
- What is the goal of the project?
- Who is the target audience?
- Why do you need a new website or redesign?
- Do you want to include a database or forms?
- Do you have any design preferences?
- Do you have available media, like images or video?
- What are some existing sites that you like?
To set up a meeting, please contact any member of the Web Team. We look forward to working with you to make your ideas come alive!
