McGowan Center for Graduate and Professional Studies
The McGowan Center for Graduate and Professional Studies was renovated in 1998. Previously known as the Center for Human Services, it is home to the College of Education and Human Development along with the Counseling/Student Development Center and the Business and Managerial Science Department. The building has state-of-the-art classrooms, computer labs and controlled lab settings for the Psychology and Communication Sciences programs. Students from the Education Department may utilize the equipment and services found in the Curriculum Lab, which houses hundreds of school textbooks, teacher manuals and other teacher materials.
The Atrium area serves as a casual meeting area for students with groupings of comfortable chairs and pleasant courtyard view. A quiet study area is adjacent. The Atrium Cafe is also located here.
