Constructed in 1964, the Nazareth Student Center is a campus focal point for all in the community to attend varied educational, cultural and social events and meetings. On the terrace level adjacent to the Main Dining Room is the Commuter Lounge; the offices of Chartwells Dining Services; the mail distribution area for resident students; and, the Private Dining Room. The first floor houses two large meeting areas - the Latour Room and the Lynett Board Room; the University Bookstore; and, the Center for Student Activities and Leadership Development which accommodates the Offices of the Student Government Association and of the Dean of Students and the Director of Student Activities and Leadership Development. The Fireplace Lounge, a popular student gathering area, is on the first floor adjacent to the trendy café-style eatery - The Connection, as are a drop-in computer lab - The Hub and a gameroom. Additional offices of the student newspaper - The WoodWord; of Chartwells; Safety/Security; Housing and Residence Life; and, the Vice President for Student Life also are located on the 2nd floor.
