Marywood University Student Veteran Alliance hosts an annual spring semester event, Operation: Tails for Troops, to raise money for a non-profit organization that provide service dogs for wounded military Veterans with Post Traumatic Stress or Traumatic Brain Injury. This is a free service offered to the Veteran. This event features a K-9 dog pageant, with local celebrity judges, a Police K-9 demonstration, and performance from a local dog training facility. This event also offers Basket Raffles, 50/50 Raffles, local vendors, music by Rock 107, and local animal shelters (featuring dogs for adoption), and much more. Since the beginning of the program, the Student Veteran Alliance has raised over $25,000, and paired 9 service dogs and Veterans together.
