BUILDING EXPERTS As a form of backup for the staff of Computer Training and User Support, "building experts" have been identified to provide yet another form of support. These individuals are administrative staff who have attended numerous workshops, have proven to be proficient in the type of computer work they do within their departments, and have agreed to provide immediate help to fellow employees and faculty. Debbie
Wardach is the Science Department Laboratory Manager. She monitors
all department teaching and research lab activities. She handles ordering,
lab assistant supervision, and maintenance of equipment and materials
used in labs. She is responsible for maintaining a chemical and biological
inventory and for overseeing the accumulation and disposal of hazardous
waste in accordance with EPA and OSHA regulations. Debbie acts as a
liaison with other departments by presiding at the Marywood University
Biological and Chemical Safety Committee meetings. She also teaches
science lab course sections. You may call her at ext. 2265. Learning Resources Center
Beverly
Mizanty has been with Marywood University for 4 years, one
of which was spent in the School of Continuing Education, three as Secretary
for the Science Department Chairperson, Dr. Peter Eden, and most recently
as Administrative Secretary for Mr. Kevin Edwards (Asst. Vice President)
in the Development Office. A graduate of Lackawanna Junior College in
Administrative Assistant and a minor in Psychology, Bev also attended
Bloomsburg University and the University of Scranton, majoring in Psychology,
along with EMT Certification from CMC. Prior to her employ at Marywood
University, she worked as Coordinator for the Board of Trustees at Mercy
Hospital and as Director of Medical Education at Fairfax Hospital, Falls
Church Virginia where she coordinated over 100 medical seminars yearly
for Physicians, including symposiums in Washington D.C., Italy and Hawaii!
Bev is very active in her community where she has been a Girl Scout
leader for 12 years, assists the Dunmore High School Drama Department
and active in Sherwood Youth Association. She can be reached at extension

Jacqueline
Miller is the Office Assistant for the Office of Research and Community
Collaboration. Previously, she was with the School of Continuing Education,
starting in 1997, where she accumulated a vast wealth of knowledge regarding
non-credit personal enrichment, professional continuing education, distance
learning, study abroad, intensive English and workforce education programs.

O'Neill Center for Healthy Families Jamie Strong is the Administrative Secretary to Dr. Ronald Bulbulian, Dean of the College of Health and Human Services. She has been at Marywood for 1 1/2 years and enjoys her work very much. She is also taking classes in hopes of finishing a degree program. Some of Jamie's job responsibilities include: assisting the Dean, maintaining the CHHS Website, creating and maintaining the College's Dean's List, preparing and distributing student evaluation packets, tracking and maintaining graduation lists for all undergraduate and graduate students in the College of Health and Human Services, and attending commencement. Outside of work, Jamie enjoys spending time with her family, is a church musician, quilter and an avid knitter. She has taught several knitting classes through Continuing Education and will soon have 2 knitted items published in a National Knitting Magazine! Center for Performing Arts Patricia Trojanowicz is the Secretary for the ever busy Communication Arts Department as well as the Receptionist for the Sette LaVerghetta Center for the Performing Arts. She is the first face you see upon entering the building--as well as the friendly voice you hear when you call extension 6209. Pat has been with the Communication Arts Department since 1983. Prior to coming to Marywood, she was employed for 15 years at a Scranton law firm. |
