The purpose of this course is to identify and develop an understanding of the issues inherent in the study and assessment of abnormal behavior. The course explores current paradigms for viewing psychopathological behavior and analyzes the commonalities and differences among these perspectives, emphasizing possible explanations of causality. Major cognitive, affective, personality, and character disturbances will be addressed within the framework of the DSM V classification system. Prerequisite: SW-601

Class meets in Central PA. Classes meet 5/18,5/25,6/1,6/8,6/15,6/22,6/29 Prerequisites: SW 601,602 SW 602 can be taken concurrently with SW 621.
