It is a program designed by and administered by college students from across the country and is supported by the American Cancer Society. The program is designed to allow students and staff to work through many different channels to eliminate cancer. These channels are our strategic directions – advocacy, cancer education programs, Relay For Life, and survivorship. Local chapters such as ourselves work alongside local offices and national leadership to support the efforts of the American Cancer Society in these directions. Whether it is writing letters to Congressmen, organizing a Relay For Life, or teaching students about preventing cancer – the program enables Marywood students to battle cancer on campus.

Project Outreach

cgsliwka@m.marywood.edu

Project Outreach is a club focused on giving back and helping those with different socioeconomic backgrounds in local communities. To achieve our goals, we host fundraisers, food drives, clothing drives, and spend time volunteering at local centers that need us (i.e. Keystone mission, St. Joseph's, etc). Furthermore, following the collection process, we put together packages and make trips to the Wilkes-Barre, Scranton, and potentially Philadelphia and New York areas to distribute them to the homeless. We welcome anyone interested in donating their time to give back to the community. As individuals we can only give back so much, however as a Marywood community we can achieve much more.
