Marywood's School of Social Work and Administrative Studies offers full- and part-time plans at four different locations for those seeking the Master of Social Work (MSW) degree. All plans require both classroom study and field education, all according to the same standards.
Full-time programs are available on weekdays at Marywood University in Scranton, and evenings at the Lehigh Valley Center at DeSales University. Part-time programs are available on Saturdays in Scranton, evenings at the Lehigh Valley Center, and Saturdays at the Central Pennsylvania and Pocono Centers.

This program includes two academic years of study (18 months, exclusive of summers) and completion of 60 credit hours. Students ordinarily spend two consecutive days a week, Thursday and Friday, taking classroom courses and 16 hours a week in social work agencies or settings. Fifteen credits are earned in Field Education and 45 in classroom courses. Field Education placements can usually be developed for students in the region in which they live.
The Saturday Plan on the Scranton Campus enables students to take two classroom courses (6 credits) on Saturday in the fall and spring semesters and one or two (3 or 6 credits) on Saturdays in summer sessions. Field Education requirements are carried out concurrently with required classroom courses in the second and/or the final years.
The Standard Full-time Plan is available, with some variations, at the Lehigh Valley Center.
The Lehigh Valley Center offers a part-time plan for students as well. Students in this plan ordinarily take classroom courses (6 credits) two evenings a week in fall and spring semesters and one course (3 credits) two evenings a week in either or both summer sessions. The Field Education requirements are carried out concurrently with the required classroom courses in the second and/or the final years.
The Lehigh Valley Program offers classes on Monday and Wednesday evenings during fall and spring semesters and on Tuesday and Thursday evenings during summer.
DeSales University is situated in Center Valley, close to the city of Allentown, a part of the Lehigh Valley in eastern Pennsylvania. Allentown and the adjacent cities of Bethlehem and Easton have a combined population exceeding 200,000 and support a variety of cultural and community activities. Inasmuch as the University is within 55 miles of Philadelphia, 90 miles of New York City, and easy commuting distance from New Jersey, students may find easy access to courses at this campus.

Bloomsburg University is located a short distance from Interstate 80, Exit 236, on the northeastern edge of the Town of Bloomsburg, in central Pennsylvania. The 282-acre campus is a short walk from an 80-store business district. The University's publicity literature describes the setting as "A university in a park," with great views, beautiful walkways, and a sculpture garden. A community hospital is adjacent to the campus and major chair stores and a mall are nearby. Bloomsburg University is part of the Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education.
