School of Social Work & Administrative Studies

Marywood University's School of Social Work and Administrative Studies is the leading provider of social work, public administration and health services administration education in Northeast Pennsylvania, having educated more than 4,000 social workers since 1969. Our BSW and MSW programs are accredited by the Council on Social Work Education.

We offer flexible scheduling and a welcoming learning environment, which are responsive to beginning, career changing, and mid-career  students.

Master of Social Work (MSW)

Our MSW program is offered at three different locations on a full- or part-time basis. The part-time program is designed for students with full-time employment.

Bachelor of Social Work (BSW)

Our Bachelor of Social Work program combines a liberal arts curriculum with courses in social-behavioral science and professional social work.

Administrative Studies

Marywood offers master's degrees in public administration, health services administration, and gerontology.

Ph.D. Program

We also offer a social work specialization in Marywood's interdisciplinary Ph.D. Program in Human Development.
