Lawrence Walsh has been teaching at Marywood since 2007 and has previously taught at Saint Joseph's University.

From 1974 until his retirement in 1999, Mr. Walsh was a member of the Conrail Police Department. During that time, he rose through the ranks from patrolman to Chief Inspector. His assignments included patrol, investigations, administration, communications, firearms instructor, supervisor, field commander, project manager, and Chief of Staff - Operations & Planning. He is a member of the Fraternal Order of Police, the Vidocq Society, the Southeast Pennsylvania Chiefs of Police Association, and the Oak Ridge Martial Arts Academy.
