In addition, General Science Education majors must fulfill the course requirements of the Department of Education, which is a total of 34 credits. These curriculum requirements are subject to change based on the guidelines established by the Pennsylvania Department of Education. Students are required to complete an additional 37-40 credits in other L.A. Core Curriculum courses. Additional information is contained in the Education Department section of the Undergraduate course catalog. Ultimately, it is the responsibility of the student to meet all of their major and liberal arts course requirements of the University.
Some students may be scheduled freshman year for Math 115 or Math 170 depending on SAT Math scores.
