Teaching Interests:  environmental science, resource conservation, environmental management and policy, ecology of stream and marsh ecosystems; trophic dynamics

Dr. Clymer is Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Lackawanna County Conservation District.

Highlights:

Dr. Clymer received a grant from the PA Department of Environmental Protection (Education Division) to conduct a workshop on Aquatic Ecology for area teachers in June, 2009.

Dr. Clymer and Dr. Deborah Hokien published an article in the Journal of Freshwater Ecology titled:

Nitrate and Phosphate Concentrations in Three Mesotrophic Lakes with Different Boat Propulsion Restrictions

Dr. Clymer renewed the grant from the PA Department of Environmental Protection (Education Division) and received a second grant from the Pennsylvania American Water Company. The Workshop was held from June 20-24, 2011 and was attended by 10 teachers.
