Teaching Interests:  environmental science, resource conservation, environmental management and policy, ecology of stream and marsh ecosystems; trophic dynamics

Dr. Clymer is Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Lackawanna County Conservation District.


Dr. Clymer and Dr. Deborah Hokien published an article in the Journal of Freshwater Ecology titled Nitrate and Phosphate Concentrations in Three Mesotrophic Lakes with Different Boat Propulsion Restrictions

Dr. Clymer received a grant from the PA Department of Environmental Protection (Education Division) to conduct a workshop on Aquatic Ecology for area teachers in June, 2009.

Dr. Clymer renewed the grant from the PA Department of Environmental Protection (Education Division) and received a second grant from the Pennsylvania American Water Company. The Workshop was held from June 20-24, 2011 and was attended by 10 teachers.
