Educational Background: Ph.D., Analytical Chemistry, Lehigh University, Bethlehem, PA. B.S., Chemistry, University of Scranton, Scranton, PA.

Research Interests: analytical environmental chemistry, biochemistry, synthetic chemistry, phytoremediation, and bioremediation studies. These projects involve analytical instrumentation, quantitative analysis, spectral data interpretation, and water quality studies.

General Science Interests: polymer surface chemistry, bioanalytical chemistry, and analytical instrumentation.

Teaching Interests: biochemistry, general chemistry, development of distance courses in chemistry and biochemistry

Professional Activities and Awards: American Society for Engineering Education, NASA-Langley Research Center, Hampton, VA (1997, 1998, and 1999). Oak Ridge Institute and Education, U.S. Food and Drug Administration, Rockville, MD (1996).  Who's Who Among American Women (22nd Edition), Pennsylvania Academy of Science Judge Award (March, 2000), and American Business Women's Association Wyoming Valley Chapter Women of the Year Award (June, 1999).
