Housing & Residence Life: General Room Selection Process

General Room Selection Process

Returning students may select their rooms from the available spaces on March 27 and 29 in the Latour Room, Nazareth Hall.

The Process:

  • Students must bring their receipt for the $300 deposit; Housing and Dining Agreements and Preference Forms will be signed at the Process.
  • Students will be called by name to select their spaces. Students' order in the process is determined by the total number of credit hours and cumulative GPA they have already earned.  For example, students who have earned 90 credit hours will be called before those with 89 credit hours.
  • Once your name has been called, you will present your "Big 3" housing documentation to a member of the Residence Life staff.  Students who do not have these documents will not be able to select a room during this process.
  • You will go to the table where your preferred building is located and you will select the room.
  • Students who cannot attend room selection may send a "proxy" with the form designating proxy status or allow Residence Life to select the room.  You will also need to send the "Big 3" housing documentation.
  • Students who do not have a preferred roommate will be able to select from available spaces; room consolidation may be necessary.
  • Students signing up with a roommate will go to the room sign-up area whenever the first person's name is called.  You may not bring in suitemates, only those students who will be living within the same room.
  • Spaces cannot be reserved or held.
