Exempt Review Committee (ERC)

Certain types of research activities may be exempt from IRB review. Exempt status is determined by the Exempt Review Committee. Any investigator who seeks exempt status must submit an application through IRBNet.

Effective July 1, 2011, all exempt research must include a completed ERC Closure form, filed with IRBNet upon completion of the research project.  Contact Laurie Houser, Director of Research Compliance, at 570-340-6031 for questions you may have regarding your exempt review.
