Marywood's chapter of Alpha Kappa Theta promotes excellence in research, learning, teaching, and publication in the area of religious study. As a member, you can:

  • Develop lasting friendships with other religious studies students
  • Honor others for their academic achievements

Membership Requirements

  • Junior or senior standing
  • Overall Q.P.A. of 3.0
  • Q.P.A. of 3.5 in religious studies
  • Completion of 12 credits in religious studies
  • Declaration of intent to major or minor in religious studies
  • Ranking within the top 35% of your class

  • Enter federal service at GS-7 level, rather than GS-5
  • Journal of Theta Alpha Kappa, delivered bi-annually in the spring and fall
