Marywood Counselor Education Program Alumni Wins Pennsylvania Elementary School Counselor of the Year

The Pennsylvania School Counselor Association (PSCA) SCHOOL COUNSELOR OF THE YEAR awards honor professional school counselors who have made significant contributions to their students and/or school districts through the development and implementation of comprehensive school counseling programs that are based on the ASCA National Model. The 2018 recipient of the PSCA Pennsylvania Elementary School Counselor of the Year is Marywood Alumni and Western Wayne School Counselor, Erica Booth. Erica received the prestigious award at the annual Pennsylvania School Counselor Association conference in Hershey, PA on Saturday, December 1, 2018. Erica Booth graduated with an MA in Clinical Psychology in August 2008, and later completed an additional 27 credits to receive her certificate in elementary school counseling in May 2012. Erica serves Marywood University on the counselor education program advisory council, has taught multiple school counseling courses as an adjunct over the years, and frequently serves the counseling program as a site supervisor.
