School Counseling Certification -- Elementary or Secondary

Marywood makes it easy for current school counselors with a master’s degree to earn a second school counseling certification through its post master's certification program. Through evening, summer, and online courses, this 21-credit program enables students to earn a second certification in elementary or secondary school counseling in approximately one year.

Because dual certification is a relatively new educational option, most seasoned counselors do not have this valuable credential, which allows them to practice at all grade levels.
