Orientation: Things to Do as a New Student

Calendar of Events
The best way to find out what's going on around campus is to check the official event calendar.

Campus Activities & Extra-Curricular Events
The Student Activities Crew (SAC) coordinates extra-curricular events for undergraduate students. Most events are free for Marywood students and have included comedians, hypnotists, music acts, concerts, trivia nights, BINGO, off-campus trips and much more!

Game Room

Whether you want to play games or catch your favorite soap, the gameroom is a great place to relax, meet new people, and find fierce competition. The gameroom has Pool Tables, Air Hockey, Foosball, Ping Pong, and also contains soda and snack machines. Sit down at a table and turn on the television while you eat lunch.

Athletics & Recreation (Marywood Pacers)
Marywood University is an institution whose academic quality is enhanced by a competitive athletic tradition and a comprehensive recreational program. 16 varsity sports are sponsored, and many intermural and recreation programs are also available. Learn more about our sports & recreation facilities.

Performing Arts
The Sette LaVerghetta Center for the Performing Arts is home to an 1100 seat theatre. Several times a month you can catch a performance here or in the terrace-level Black Box Theatre. All Marywood students have the opportunity to try out for shows along with the University Orchestra, Wind Ensemble, Chamber Singers and several other performing groups.

Student Clubs & Organizations
Student Activities & Leadership Development (SALD) offers over 60 extra-curricular registered clubs and organizations. All clubs and organizations are student run, under the advisement of a faculty or staff member. All registered clubs are open to membership for all Marywood students.
