Welcome New Pacers

Next year represents a major turning point in your life—your first year of college. While you are busy preparing for the next chapter in your life story, Marywood University's Orientation Team is eagerly awaiting your arrival and preparing for a fantastic Orientation Experience.

All incoming students will receive their university credentials by mail after they have placed their deposit with the institution.

Students should then use the provided credentials to access their personalized New Student Forms, where you will be able to access important links pertaining to Orientation and other requirements to prepare for your Marywood career to begin!

Please contact the Office of Student Engagement at 570-340-6016 if you have any questions.

Marywood University takes pride in the attention given to assuring success in the transitions students and families face in adjusting to college life. Through a comprehensive and collaborative institutional effort, new students and their families are welcomed to understand and live the Catholic liberal arts mission and values of Marywood, including Catholic Identity, Service, Respect for Each Person, Empowerment, and Commitment to Excellence.

You can expect the following outcomes from active participation in the New Student Orientation Program:

  1. A sense of familiarity and comfort with the University, its values and its expectations;

  2. Opportunities for meaningful interactions with your peers, returning students, faculty, staff and administration to begin the process of promoting community;

  3. An awareness of the resources available to help you succeed in your academic life, social relationships and out-of-class learning experiences;

  4. Contact with an academic advisor who will empower you to assume responsibility for your educational objectives;

  5. An understanding of the adjustments students and families face in the transition to college.

A Vital Part of Your College Experience
