We're Excited to Meet You!

July 13 - 14, 2018

Orientation programs are required of all incoming first-year students enrolling at Marywood. The university holds a two-part program.

Summer Orientation is a one and a half day overnight program that is held for all first year students (regardless of residency) in July. We offer a 1.5 day schedule of events for both incoming students and any family members or guests. Students will receive their academic schedules, financial aid forms, and other important information during this weekend.

Fall Welcome is the second portion of our orientation program. All first-year students will arrive the weekend prior to the start of classes to participate in a fun range of programs. Residential students will move into their assigned rooms, students will receive their identification cards, and become more acclimated with their new collegiate setting.

Before You Arrive

  • Where to Stay - Whether you will be a resident or commuter in the fall, students should plan to stay on campus overnight on July 13th. Family and guests check out friendly hotel options in the area.

  • Directions & Campus Maps - Find out how to get to Marywood, and become familiar with the campus map so you know where you're going!

  • Medical & Health Insurance Requirements - An overview of the medical and insurance requirements needed for Resident and Commuter students attending Marywood.

  • Work Study Employment Opportunities - Work Study opportunities have been posted. Take a look and see what's available!

Attention Marywood Students: Be A Leader

Live on campus for a week in July (7/8-7/14) and welcome the incoming students.
We'll provide you with housing, food, fun, and the ultimate Marywood experience!

We're hiring 60-70 of you for two positions:

  • Small Group OL application: Hands-on with first-year students, icebreakers, and your own small group
  • Family and Logistics OL: Beautification of campus (window painting, decorations, bulletin boards), "behind-the-scenes" work, dealings with family members and guests

Other Orientation Programs

  • Fall Welcome - The continuation of our New Student Orientation. This 2-day program combines various elements of student life, including residence life, extra-curricular activities and social programming, community service and involvement, and more.

  • "Transition Program" - The "Transitions Program" is the perfect time for transfer students to become acquainted with the University, meet new and current students, faculty, and staff. During the program, you'll learn about all the other opportunities available as a Marywood University student.
