All About Scanning

This hands-on workshop teaches the participant how to scan various items using an HP Scan Jet scanner along with its related HP software. The first scan they will perform will involve an image (such as their own signature). Placement on the scanner, cropping (if necessary), color vs. black and white, and saving the image as a graphics file (jpg, tiff or a related format) will be discussed. The participant will then scan a sheet of clean text using OCR software. Tips for scanning text, along with directions about how to scan multiple sheets, will also be shared. If time permits and there is interest, scanning slides and/or negatives will also be demonstrated.
