Free Hearing Screenings- March 23-27 Tue, March 17, 2009 The Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders at Marywood University will offer free hearing screenings March 23-March 26, from 9 a.m.-1 p.m., and on March 27, from 9-11 a.m., in the William G. McGowan Center for Graduate and Professional Studies. The screenings are open to the public.
ADDY Award Grants National Recognition to Graphic Design Students Mon, March 16, 2009 Marywood University graphic design students were the recipients of the Student ADDY Award under the direction of Assistant Art Professors Chris Medley and Kevin O'Neill. Marywood senior, Jess Confer, scored top honors with two gold ADDY awards and the Best of Show award.
Naturex Inc. Awards Marywood Professor $155,000 Grant for Research Fri, March 13, 2009 Dr. James Smoliga, Assistant Professor of Exercise Physiology, College of Health and Human Services, was awarded a research contract with Naturex, Inc. for $155,000 to study the effects of polyphenol supplementation on oxidative stress and physiologic performance in endurance athletes.
Politics of Secularism Conference Thu, March 12, 2009 The Department of Social Studies presents The Politics of Secularism: The United States, France, and Turkey conference. The event will be help on Monday, March 16.
Irish -American Heritage Month Highlighted in Campus Library Wed, March 11, 2009 Marywood University is celebrating Irish-American Heritage Month, as a personal request by the Ancient Orders of Hibernians in America.
