Marywood University Partners with the John F. Kennedy Center for Performing Arts
Wed, June 16, 2010Marywood University and the Scranton School District have announced their partnership with the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts' Partners in Education Institute. The Institute, funded by the U.S. Department of Education, the National Committee for the Performing Arts, and the Kennedy Center Corporate Fund, promotes partnerships between arts organizations and local school districts in communities across the country, focusing on the development of arts education programs for teachers.
Marywood Professor Named Fulbright Scholar
Mon, June 14, 2010Marywood University President, Sister Anne Munley, IHM, recently announced that Dr. Bradley Janey, Associate Professor of Psychology/Counseling, has been named a 2010 Fulbright Scholar. Recipients of Fulbright awards are selected on the basis of academic or professional achievement, as well as demonstrated leadership potential in their fields.
