Alumna Named Fine Arts Supervisor for Albany School District

University alumna, Kate Wright, 2006 graduate of the master of fine arts program, was recently named fine arts supervisor for the Albany School District. The veteran art teacher will serve as the district’s new fine arts supervisor, where she’ll oversee art, music and theater programs throughout the district.
Ms. Wright joined the Albany School District in 2003 as an art teacher at Thomas O’Brien Academy of Science and Technology (TOAST). She served as chairwoman of the district’s art department from 2011 to present day while continuing to teach at TOAST. In addition to her master’s degree from Marywood University, she earned her bachelor’s degree from Marist College, Poughkeepsie, N.Y., and earned her administrative certification from The College of Saint Rose, Albany, N.Y.
