Marywood Recognized by Society of Collegiate Journalists

The Society for Collegiate Journalists recently announced winners of its major awards, and Marywood University was recognized in several categories.
The Wood Word, Marywood University's student-run newspaper, placed first in the Companion Newspaper Website Overall Excellence Category. Megan McGraw '12 has been instrumental in getting The Wood Word's new site off the ground during this past year. Megan served as Online/Multimedia Editor for the 2011/2012 academic year.
Jeremy Barket '12 was also recognized with a third place award in the Feature Page Design category. Jeremy served as our Design Editor for the 2011/2012 academic year.
Finally, Shane Ostroski '12 was recognized with a second place award in the Sports Feature Category for his article "Marywood coach taking talents overseas," which was published in the April 2011 issue of The Wood Word. Shane served as Sports Co-Editor for the 2011/2012 academic year.
