On Saturday, April 14, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., the Marywood Aviators will host the 7th annual Aviation Exploration Day at the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton International airport.
Admission is free. Airplane rides, which last about 20 minutes, will cost $20 per person. A limited number of tickets are available on a first come, first served basis. Customers can purchase tickets when the doors open at 11 a.m.
Last year, they raised more than $1,000 for Angel Flight of America—a non-profit organization led by volunteer pilots who donate time and airplanes to help transport sick patients who cannot afford immediate transportation.
