Romines Joins Music Educators Journal Advisory Committee

F. David Romines, director of bands at Marywood University, has accepted an appointment to serve on the Music Educators Journal Advisory Committee. Published quarterly, Music Educators Journal offers peer-reviewed scholarly and practical articles on music teaching approaches and philosophies, instructional techniques, current trends and issues in music education in schools and communities and the latest in products and services. Dr. Romines will review submitted articles in his areas of expertise and offer advice and opinion to the author and publication editor.

Dr. Romines has also been engaged by the Colorado Bandmasters Association to join a national panel of instrumental music educators as they evaluate band programs throughout Colorado. Romines and other panel members will spend a week in March 2013 traveling across the state listening to live performances of bands and providing recorded and written assessments of current status along with advice to increase levels of individual and group musicality.
