Wind Ensemble to Perform "Angels in the Architecture"
Music lovers will be delighted by the upcoming wind ensemble concert at Marywood University. David Romines, director of bands and associate professor of music, says the concert reflects current trends in band music.
"There will be something there for everyone," Romines said. "It's the kind of program we are proud of."
The Marywood University Wind Ensemble will perform "Angels in the Architecture" on Sunday, November 6, at the Sette La Verghetta Center for the Performing Arts. The program begins at 4 p.m., and admission is free.
Listen to Director David Romines discuss the upcoming Wind Ensemble performance.
Performing works by David Holsinger, Ryan George and Frank Ticheli, the 90-member ensemble has prepared for more than two months, overcoming musical challenges along the way. Romines says the audience should be pleased.
"It's a large ensemble, and we have to make sure everything fits together," Romines said. "[The audience] will be exposed to standards in the repertoire and current trends."
