The brainchild of two art professors—Pamela Parsons and Linda Partridge—the visiting environmental artists series was conceived more than seven years ago, while the two professors co-taught the class, "Green Piece: Art and Nature in America," which is offered biennially in the spring semester.
"It's about using environmental resources to call attention to the land through the art," said Linda Partridge, Ph.D., associate professor of Art History. "We like to bring in speakers with diverse interests and approaches to art."
On Wednesday, April 25, at 4:00 p.m., in the Learning Resources Center, Room 160, Susan Johnson will speak as part of the annual, "Fresh Perspectives-New Solutions: Visiting Environmental Artist Series."
