Pennsylvania's Office of Child Development and Early Learning has awarded the Fricchione Day Care Center at Marywood University a four-star accredited quality rating—the highest accreditation rating in the state. Established in 1991, the Fricchione Day Care Center accommodates 82 children ages two months to six-years-old.
Gwynne Gilbert, director of the Fricchione Day Care Center, was pleased upon receiving the letter from Raine Neal, vice president of Northeast Regional Keystone STARS, that the facility had been awarded this prestigious rating.
"We have to maintain certain quality standards, and the standards get more significant and more difficult as the ratings increase," Gilbert said. "The rating is based on the curriculum, qualifications of the staff, interaction with the staff and the children, and health and safety efforts. We are very pleased to receive this distinction again."
The Fricchione Day Care Center has received a four-star accreditation three times previously.
