Dean Hunt to Talk About Wright's Fallingwater

Gregory K. Hunt, FAIA, Dean of Marywood's School of Architecture, will be the first to speak at Pages & Places at Anthology's first monthly arts event. Hunt will present Home and Place: Frank Lloyd Wright's Fallingwater this Thursday, May 12 between 6:00 and 9:00pm. Pages & Places is located in Outrageous at 515 Center Street in Scranton.

Fallingwater is the name of a very special house designed by Frank Lloyd Wright that is built over a waterfall.  Frank Lloyd Wright, America's most famous architect, designed the house for his clients, the Kaufmann family.  Fallingwater was built between 1936 and 1939 and instantly became famous. Today it is a National Historic Landmark. It is a house that doesn't even appear to stand on solid ground, but instead stretches out over a 30' waterfall. It captured everyone's imagination when it was on the cover of Time magazine in 1938.
