"More than 30 million Americans are exposed to hazardous sound levels on a regular basis. Some people have a genetic hearing loss. Others may have a condition that is medically treatable, but have yet to let anyone know they are having difficulty. There are a multitude of causes and just as many ways to make communication easier." said Andrea Novak, Audiology Clinic Director. "My hopes are that the hearing screenings will promote better overall hearing health as well as provide our students with valuable practical experience.
Marywood University's Audiology Clinic has been in operation for 20 years and is staffed by Pennsylvania licensed and ASHA certified audiologist, Dr. Sheri Skrutski.
