Manager of Talent Assessments at Macy's Inc., Dr. Megan Leasher, to Present Colloquium- Nov. 10
Dr. Megan Leasher, Manager of Talent Assessments at Macy's Inc., will present a lecture on Tuesday, November 9 at 4 p.m. in Room 2036, McGowan Center for Graduate and Professional Studies. In addition, Dr. Leasher will present a colloquium, The Employee Life Cycle: Opportunities for Clinical and I/O Psychologists, on Wednesday, November 10 at 4 p.m.
The employee life cycle is a cornerstone for I/O psychologists, as it defines the stages of work that all individuals experience. These stages not only lead to many applied opportunities for I/O psychologists, but for clinical psychologists as well. In this session, the employment life cycle will be presented and each stage of the cycle defined. Applied opportunities related to each stage will be identified for both clinical and I/O psychologists, and potential overlap discussed. Clinical psychology students will learn more about applied opportunities within organizations that may crossover into the I/O world.
Biography of Megan Leasher, Ph.D.
Megan Leasher, Ph.D., is the Manager of Talent Assessments with Macy's Inc., in Cincinnati, Ohio. In her role with Macy's, she oversees all assessment testing programs enterprise-wide, including Macy's stores, credit and merchant divisions, college recruiting, corporate offices, and select roles at Bloomingdale's. In addition, she designs hiring processes, interview programs, and conducts research on program effectiveness. She holds a Ph.D. in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from Wright State University, and her research has been published in several academic journals and presented at national conferences. Dr. Leasher has won several awards, including the RHR International Outstanding Dissertation Award (on behalf of the Society of Consulting Psychology) and the Society for Human Resource Management Foundation's Graduate Student Leader Award. Prior to her work at Macy's, Megan served as a Senior Consultant at the HR Chally Group.
