Diane Keller, Ph.D. will serve as the Interim Director of the School of Social Work at Marywood University. In her new position, she will oversee the social work program and mentor new social work faculty and students. She also will chair four doctoral student dissertation committees.
Prior to her new position, she served as Associate Professor in the School of Social Work, Assistant Vice President for Research and Assistant to the Vice President of Academic Affairs for Community Collaboration and Research at Marywood University.
Her work has been published in various publications including American Journal of Orthopsychiatry, and Journal of Social Work in Disability and Rehabilitation. Her primary research focuses on children with disabilities and their families and leadership skills of religious women. She has been the recipient of many grants, including the Sisters Leadership Development Initiative funded by the Hilton Foundation and the NEPA Women's Health Alliance funded by the Weinberg Foundation.
Dr. Keller is a member of the Council on Social Work Education, National Association of Social Workers, National Council of University Research Administrators, and the Society of Research Administrators International. She has also served on the Board of Directors at St. Joseph's Center and NEPA Women's Health Alliance.
She is a registered nurse and social worker. In addition, she is a Certified IRM Professional and holds a Certificate in Research Integrity.
Dr. Keller received a B.S.in Nursing Education from Wilkes College/ Wilkes University, an M.S. in Human Resources Administration from the University of Scranton, and an M.S.W. from Marywood University. She earned a Ph.D. in Child and Family Studies from Syracuse University.
