The Marywood Players, a student run organization in the Marywood University Department of Music, Theatre, and Dance, will present Twisted Theatre: a Reversed Revue directed by Elizabeth Smith and produced by Victoria Moshy on Friday March 12, at 7:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. The production will be performed in the Black Box Theatre, Sette LaVerghetta Center for Performing Arts. The event is free and open to the public. (Donations will be accepted for Boadway Cares.)
Twisted Theatre: a Reversed Revue is a compilation of songs and monologues from well-known shows and composers."The concept of the show is putting together role reversals to show universality of emotion-that men and women are a lot more alike than we think. And by switching songs and monlogues, we show that we share a lot of the same experiences and emotions throughout life," says Liz Smith, Director. Victoria Moshey, Producer, continues, " "Through this production, we are breaking boundaries of gender limitations in theatre. In other words, men will be singing women's songs and vise versa."
The Artistic Staff for the production include: Dan Dalrymple, Music Director; Dana Bartlomeo, Vocal Director; Sean Patrick Gibbons, Costume Designer; David Brace, Lighting Designer; and Hannah Botsford, Choreographer.
The Management Staff include: Kelly Williams, Stage Manager; Emily Heller, Assistant Stage Manager.
The Production Staff include: Chelsea Minkoff, Publicity; Laura Sena, Graphic Designer; Nicholas Latini, Photography; George Trinovitch, Set Painter.
