Dance Team Holds Annual Spring Show

The Marywood University dance team will hold its 13th annual spring show on Friday, March 16 and Saturday, March 17 at 7 p.m. and 2 p.m. respectively. Both shows will be held in the Sette LaVerghetta Center for the Performing Arts. Admission is $3 for students and $5 for adults. All proceeds from the show will help fund the team's various community service activities and other events.
The show, entitled "Dear Diary," will feature student choreographed pieces in styles such as ballet, tap, jazz, hip hop, lyrical, and kick-line. All songs included in the performance represent a life moment. The dance team started preparing for the show in January. The team is a student led organization participating in many community service events throughout the year, dancing at all men’s and women’s basketball games and holding other shows through the year.
In the past year alone, the dance team has participated in the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure and has danced at Holy Family Residence near Marywood’s campus. In April, the team will participate in "Kidstuff" and hold its annual Easter egg hunt for Friends of the Poor.
The show will run approximately 2 hours with a 10-15 minute intermission. Tickets are available at the door. For more information, contact Coach Rachel Baldini at email@example.com.
