Marywood University presents Music from China on Monday, October 12 at 6p.m. in the Latour Room, Nazareth Student Center. Music from China is a chamber ensemble that performs masterpieces of Chinese music from the classical and folk repertoire. The ensemble's numerous appearances include Princeton, Duke, Pittsburgh, Yale, Wisconsin, Dayton, Bucknell, Colgate Universities, Eastman School of Music, Bard College, Peabody Conservatory, UMKC Conservatory, Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art, Metropolitan Museum of Art, Weill Recial Hall at Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts, San Diego Museum of Art, Chautauqua Institution, the 92nd Street Y, Freer Gallery of Art with Yo-Yo Ma, Smithsonian Folklife Festival, Boston Early Music Festival, with the Avison Ensemble and live BBC broadcast in Newcastle, England, Midwest tours, and the Library of Congress.
