Welcome to Marywood!  At Registration, you will receive your welcome packet, including an up-to-date schedule of the weekend events.

Rebecca Davis Dance Company presents DARFUR: Sette LaVerghetta Center for Performing Arts

DARFUR is a powerful and engaging multi-media modern dance production to raise awareness and funds for victims of genocide.  The production follows the journey of US Marine Brian Steidle as he witnesses the devastation unfolding in Sudan.  The ballet is performed by a cast of ten professional dancers and is set to alternative rock music by various artists, including: A Perfect Circle, Apocalyptica, Damien Rice and Green Day.

Free admission.

Silent Auction: Fireplace Lounge, Nazareth Student Center

Learn more about Campus Ministry/Collegiate Volunteers' National and International Service Trip Program by browsing photos of recent experiences, talking to students involved in the programs, and reading a current brochure about this year's trips.  A silent auction to benefit the Service Trip Programs also will take place.  Items include a flatscreen TV, homemade baked goods, movie packages, gift cards and much more.  This event will also take place during our Casino Night.

Marywood Student Art Show:  Fireplace Lounge, Nazareth Student Center

During this time you will have an opportunity to view current works from Marywood Students. All paintings, sculptures, drawings, prints, and photographs are welcomed.  Participants will have an opportunity to vote on their top three favorite pieces and prizes will be awarded to the artists.

Student Leader Brunch: Liguori Center

The Center for Student Activities and Leadership Development, Office of Housing and Residence Life and Campus Ministry staff invite current student leaders, and their families and guests for a breakfast buffet reception. Please join us in recognizing our active student leaders on-campus. This event is invitation only. Student leaders will receive invitations in early September.

Brunch on Your Own: Main Dining Hall

This will be your first opportunity to dine in our amazing Main Dining Room.  There are a wide variety of popular menu options available in a comfortable atmosphere. There will be Special Family Weekend Discount Pricing for this meal.

Fall Fest !!: Adjacent to Pacer Athletic Field

Join us for an afternoon of food, fun and Pacer excitement!  While cheering on our Pacers, play some exciting games for chances to win prizes, paint a pumpkin, visit booths from many of our student clubs and organizations, take part in a pie eating contest, learn more about Campus Ministry and service learning opportunities, and so much more! Food will also be provided to enjoy, free of charge (Limited quantity available).

The Robert J. Mellow Center for Athletics and Wellness and the Health and Physical Education Center will be open for use for any family member to enjoy the track, fitness center, locker rooms, gym, pool or racquetball courts. Please note that the minimum age to use the facilities is sixteen years old.

Dinner-on-your-own

Enjoy a leisurely dinner in the Student Center Main Dining Room or experience one of Scranton's many excellent eateries.  Restaurant listings will be available at Registration. 

7:00 PM

The Marywood University Dance Team Performance: Latour Conference Room, Nazareth Student Center

Come see the Marywood University Dance Team perform some of their dances that were featured at the Race for the Cure and others that will be featured at both men's and women's basketball games.

7:30 PM

FIREWORKS SPECTACULAR!: On campus location to be determined

Take the whole family to enjoy a beautiful fireworks show!

8:00 PM-10:30 PM

Casino Night: Latour Conference Room, Nazareth Student Center

Play blackjack, spin the roulette wheel, try your luck at craps and much more at our Casino Night.  Play for the chances to win great prizes! We will also be sponsoring a 50/50 Raffle, all proceeds benefitting the American Cancer Society.

Liturgy: Marian Chapel, Swartz Center for Spiritual Development

As one Holy, Catholic and Apostolic Church, we come together to celebrate our unity found in Christ Jesus.  Present in Word and Sacrament, Christ gathers us as a family.  Families of all faith traditions are warmly invited to participate in this central experience of our University identity.

Brunch: Main Dining Room, Nazareth Student Center

This is the final event to come together and enjoy a relaxing brunch as a family as the weekend comes to a close. Tickets must be purchased in advance and there is reserved seating.  If you did not sign up for the brunch, you can still purchase brunch in the Main Dining Hall.
