Marywood to Host Sexual Assault Awareness Program

On Wednesday, April 17, Marywood University will host "Release the Light: Sexual Assault Awareness Program" from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. in the Fireplace Lounge, Nazareth Student Center. Admission is free and open to the public.
At 11:30 a.m., the program will begin with a march from the Nazareth Student Center to speak for those who have been affected by domestic violence. At Noon, a food and information fair will take place, featuring speakers, music, lunch and baked goods, as well as a drum circle, art therapy student displays and a raffle for two $25 dollar gift cards.
In conjunction with "Release the Light" will be a tree planting ceremony for Kristina Adams at 11 a.m. near the Marian Chapel, Swartz Center for Spiritual Life. Kristina was a 2006 graduate of Marywood's Interior Design Program. She lost her life in August 2012 as a result of domestic violence.
