Marywood University will present the Annual Music Scholarships Benefit Concert on Sunday, April 26, at 4 p.m. in the Sette LaVerghetta Center for Performing Arts Auditorium.
The concert will open with "Scherzo" from Vaughan Williams's Symphony No. 8. The remainder of the first half will be devoted to two masterpieces by Johann Sebastian Bach: Brandenburg Concerto No. 3, performed by a chamber ensemble with no conductor, and Cantata No. 12. Following a brief intermission, the chorus and orchestra will join forces for Fauré's sublime Requiem.
The vocal soloists on the concert will be Leslie Mason Moran, soprano; Ellen Rutkowski, mezzo-soprano; Larry Hickernell, Jr., tenor; and Charles Unice, bass-baritone.
