Day of Events to Celebrate Mothers - March 11
Marywood University Women's Studies Program is hosting Celebrate Mothers on Wednesday, March 11.
- Open Mic - 10a.m.-12p.m. in the Fireplace Lounge, Nazareth Student Center.
- Activism Tables- 10a.m.-12p.m. and 2-4p.m. in the Rotunda, Liberal Arts Center.
- Social for Student Moms- 12-2p.m. in the Private Dining Room, Nazareth Student Center.
- Keynote Speaker: Ann Crittenden, Why Mothers Deserve Equal Rights, 7-9p.m. in Media Room 160, Learning Resources center. Crittenden is a Pulitzer Prize nominated journalist and author of The Price of Motherhood: Why the Most Important Job in the World is Still the Least Valued.
Donations to local women's shelter will be accepted in both the Rotunda, 10am-12p.m. and in the Fireplace Lounge, 2-4p.m. Donations will be delivered to St. Joseph's Center, Catherine McCauley Center, and the Women's Resource Center.
The events are sponsored by the Women's Studies Program, College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, Honors Program, Diversity Services Office, Campus Ministries, and the English and Religious Studies departments.
