Marywood University's science department was awarded a $157,525 grant from Sanofi Pasteur, Inc. The grant will be used to purchase a Liquid Chromatograph-Mass Spectrometer (LC-MS) instrument. The LC-MS is a hybrid mass spectrometer for biomarker discovery, metabolite identification, and proteomics research. This particular instrument will be used primarily for student and faculty research to enhance undergraduate and graduate programs in biotechnology.
Previously, Sanofi Pasteur, Inc. awarded the science department $100,000 to construct a new Biotechnology laboratory.
