The Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders at Marywood University will offer free hearing screenings March 23-March 26, from 9 a.m.-1 p.m., and on March 27, from 9-11 a.m., in the William G. McGowan Center for Graduate and Professional Studies. The screenings are open to the public.
Marywood University graphic design students were the recipients of the Student ADDY Award under the direction of Assistant Art Professors Chris Medley and Kevin O'Neill. Marywood senior, Jess Confer, scored top honors with two gold ADDY awards and the Best of Show award.
Dr. James Smoliga, Assistant Professor of Exercise Physiology, College of Health and Human Services, was awarded a research contract with Naturex, Inc. for $155,000 to study the effects of polyphenol supplementation on oxidative stress and physiologic performance in endurance athletes.
