Marywood University School of Social Work Awarded Catholic Charities USA Centennial Medal

Marywood University School of Social Work received the Catholic Charities USA Centennial Medal on Monday, September 27, in the Library of Congress, Washington D.C. The award recognizes Marywood's contributions to the reduction of poverty in the United States and its commitment to the principles of Catholic Charities USA. Catholic Charities USA will presented Centennial medals to 100 recipients, chosen by a Centennial Medal Committee.

Kidstuff 2011 - Sub-Chair/Intern Applications Deadline Extended to Fri., Nov. 5

Kidstuff is an annual mini-carnival for 4-8 year olds who participate in programs run by community service agencies in the Scranton area.

Marywood University's Master of Business Administration Program is offering a Monday Night Entrepreneurship Series, in Room 1059, McGowan Center for Graduate and Professional Studies, from 6-7 p.m.

Volunteer Opportunity - Homeless Shelter

There will be volunteer opportunities at St. Anthony's Haven and Bethel Shelter this school year. Service will include preparing a meal, delivering it to the shelter, serving and sharing it with the homeless. There is also an opportunity at the Community Intervention Center to play bingo and share a snack with the homeless. The dates of these volunteer opportunities have not yet been set.
