Professor Andrew Dattel, Ph.D. was recently awarded the 2011–12 Murray Award for Research and Development. He hopes his research will lead to better training for airline pilots.

Opening Liturgy - Music Ministry

On Thursday, Sept. 8 at 11:00 a.m., the Marywood University community will gather for our 97th annual Mass of the Holy Spirit. Faculty, staff, and students from across the University are welcome and encouraged to be part of music ministry for this special liturgy. Ally Club

The Ally Club will meet this Thursday, September 1, at 9 p.m. in the Swartz Center for Spiritual Life.

Ongoing "Nutritious" Food Drive

There will be an Ongoing Nutritious Food Drive for the local food pantries that will continue all year long as part of our year long service. We will begin the week of September 6. There are collection boxes in: Human Resources, Outside the Marian Chapel, McGowan Atrium, and Healthy Family Center Lobby.

Scholarships for Student Leaders

The NACA East Coast Region invites applicants for the Thomas E. Matthews Scholarship for Student Leaders. Scholarships are to be used for educational expenses, including tuition, books, fees or other related expenses. Students who meet the criteria below are encouraged to apply: *Be matriculated undergraduate students in good standing at the time of the application and during the semester in which the award is received *Hold significant leadership positions on their campuses *Have made significant contributions to their campus communities *Have demonstrated leadership skills and ability *You must be a U.S. Citizen Materials must be submitted online between Sept. 15 and Nov. 1. Only the first 75 qualified applications will be considered. Scholarships will be announced in February. To apply, visit
